The Digital Process

Three steps, fully online

Every apostille we issue is recognized under the Hague Apostille Convention and accepted by receiving authorities across more than 120 countries. Here is exactly what happens after you submit your order.

How It Works

1
Upload Your Scan · You upload a clear color scan of your document through our secure portal. We review it for eligibility before anything moves forward.
2
Notarized True Copy · Our licensed notary certifies that a printed copy of your scan is a true and accurate reproduction of the original document.
3
State Apostille · The Secretary of State issues an apostille on the notary's certified true copy. The completed document ships back to you with tracking.

Why the Digital Process Works

  • Recognized across 120+ Hague Convention countries
  • Your original document never leaves your possession
  • Faster than mailing physical documents back and forth
  • Lower cost, no shipping risk on irreplaceable originals
  • Same legal weight as an apostille on the original

Why is the apostille from a different state than my document?

With our digital process, the apostille is issued by the Secretary of State where our notary is commissioned, not the state where your original document was issued. This is a standard part of the digital apostille workflow and is fully compliant under the Hague Convention.

The apostille on your document is a valid, government-issued certificate from the Secretary of State, and it is accepted by receiving authorities in Hague Convention countries regardless of the state that originally issued the underlying document.

Need to send your physical original?

A small number of receiving authorities specifically require the apostille to be placed directly on the original document. If that is your situation, we offer an Original Document Apostille service. You mail us your original, we route it to the issuing state for direct apostille, and ship the completed document back.
