Confirm the legalization process

This is a legalization order, not an apostille order. Most requests follow these three stages:

Secretary of State certification for non-federal documents
U.S. Department of State authentication
Embassy legalization for the destination country

Federal documents skip Secretary of State certification. U.S. Department of State authentication is estimated at 7-9 business days. Secretary of State and embassy processing times vary. We will contact you if your country or document does not require one of the usual stages.
